Good eggs sink in cold tap water.
Bad eggs float in cold tap water.
Eggs from one carton were good.
Eggs from another carton were bad.
Guess which carton should not have been around at all.
Guess from which carton I'd been cooking. And eating.
Miserable long weekend. Thought I had flu.
Tested the eggs once I started to piece together the puzzle.
Urp.
Some day soon, knitting will return to the blog. I did a little knitting this weekend, as I tried to gather myself back into a human being.
Good night. I'm overdue for my nightly cup of tea. Home I go.

yes. Also, they lay on their side when freshest, and start to stand on one end as they get a bit older (but are still safe to eat). Also, if they stand up, they are great for hardboiling because they (theoretically) peel easier!
ugh for you!
Oh, ugh. Feel better!
Oh no! I hope you have fully recovered.
Oh dear. I hope it will all clear up now that you know what the source of the problem is.
Ooh! I'm so sorry! I hope you recover quickly!
I guess I won't have eggs for dinner after all.
